Battlestar Galactica: The Plan takes place before the events of the miniseries and focuses on the Cylons' plan to destroy humanity. Two powerful Cylon agents, Cavil and Anders, work together to carry out the plan, but their priorities clash when they discover human survivors. Cavil takes over the Galactica's chapel and gathers the seven known Cylons, revealing his intention to continue their plan to destroy the human race. Meanwhile, Sam Anders and his teammates launch an attack on the Cylons on Caprica, unaware that they have taken humanoid form. Cavil plays dead and survives the attack, and is later taken by Sam and his friends back to their camp, where he reveals his true identity as one of the original Final Five Cylons.
