Almost Friends

Charlie is a lost young man living at home with his mother and stepfather. He works at a movie theater and spends his free time with his best friend Ben. Charlie becomes infatuated with Amber, a barista at a local coffee shop, but she's already in a committed relationship. As Charlie and Amber grow closer, they struggle to define their relationship and confront their own personal demons. Charlie's estranged father reenters his life, adding another layer of complexity to the situation. In the end, Charlie must confront his own fears and insecurities to figure out what he really wants in life.
