In the wake of tragedy, a young artist must confront the harsh realities of raising two young girls on his own. After losing his best friends in the 9/11 attacks, he takes on the responsibility of guardianship, but the financial struggles of living in New York City become too much to bear. He makes the difficult decision to uproot the girls and move back to his hometown of Buffalo, where he faces new challenges and learns to find solace in the unlikeliest of places.
