The Dark Half

The Dark Half is a horror-mystery film based on a novel by Stephen King. Thad Beaumont (Timothy Hutton) is a successful author, writing bestselling murder mystery novels under the pseudonym George Stark. However, Thad wants to distance himself from his alter ego and decides to symbolically bury Stark in a mock grave. But Stark has become a physical entity and begins terrorizing Thad's family and friends, killing several people in the process. As the body count rises, Thad realizes that Stark has taken on a life of his own and will stop at nothing to claim his revenge. The film is a gripping thriller that explores the darker side of human nature and the power of creativity gone wrong.
