In a world where the dead can be restored to life, a murdered policeman named Nick Walker (Ryan Reynolds) is recruited by the Rest in Peace Department (R.I.P.D.), a secretive organization that protects the living from malevolent spirits who refuse to move on. Paired with Roy Pulsipher (Jeff Bridges), a seasoned undead sheriff, Nick must learn to control his newfound abilities and work with Roy to uncover a plot that could destroy humanity.
