When Kalyani's boyfriend ditches her at the altar, she's left with a broken heart and a ticking clock - her father, a wealthy NRI, has threatened to disinherit her if she doesn't marry the man of his choice. Desperate to make her father happy, Kalyani and her loyal friend Kaimal hire Vishnu, a charming but broke man, to play the role of her husband for a fortnight. As they spend time together in her father's estate, Kalyani and Vishnu bicker and banter their way to realizing that they have feelings for each other. But their blossoming romance is threatened when Vishnu's dark past is revealed - he's an escaped convict sentenced to death. Will Kalyani and Vishnu find a way to be together, or will their secrets tear them apart?
