Shahrzad

Shahrzad is a historical drama series set in 1950s Iran, following the lives of those affected by the powerful mafia syndicate leader, Bozorg Agha, during and after the Iranian coup d'état. The story revolves around Shahrzad, the daughter of one of Bozorg Agha's henchmen, who is forced to marry his nephew, Ghobad, in exchange for her fiancé's freedom. The series explores the conflicts that arise from this arrangement, as well as the political tensions and power struggles between Bozorg Agha and other corrupt leaders of the time.
