In the midst of Kyoto's chaotic streets, a young woman named Chizuru Yukimura searches for her missing father, a doctor who disappeared without a trace. Disguising herself as a man, she navigates the city's dangerous underworld, witnessing a battle between the Shinsengumi - a group of elite samurai - and a horde of demonic warriors. Taken under their wing, Chizuru learns that the Shinsengumi are not only skilled fighters but also share her quest for answers.
