Fei Xing Kong is excited to start his first day of university – until someone whacks him on the back of the head and knocks him out, causing him to start the semester late. In his first class, he meets Si Rui, a girl who looks suspiciously like his assailant. To his surprise, Si Rui admits to hitting him, and claims that before school started, she read a comic online where she appeared to be the protagonist. The more she read, the more the events in the comic mirrored her life, and she concluded that she's trapped in the comic story, and Xing Kong is, too. Xing Kong initially thinks she's crazy, but is forced to acknowledge the possibility after more strange experiences. Xing Kong and Si Rui want to escape, but can they find a way to outsmart the author? Or are they subject to the author's whims forever?
