Blue Beetle - Reviews

This is, first and foremost, fun – and it wouldn’t be half as much fun were it not for the boisterous dinner-table vibe that drives the film.

There may be bolder DC superhero movies, but despite that body-horrific transformation, Blue Beetle sure is the nicest one in a while.

Fast, funny, and fervently earnest, Blue Beetle stands out in an increasingly overcrowded field of superhero movies.

Snappy, unapologetically silly but predictable

...it's full of is heart, and Blue Beetle has plenty of that to go around.

...there’s a perkiness that’s hard to resist and a base-level competency that’s hard not to appreciate, a small beam of blue light in an otherwise dark time for superheroes.

...it has plenty of charm and wit. And, as everyone knows, having a great personality goes a long way.

...might not break the mold, but it does break expectations.   

...offers up a fairly decent time at the movies, particularly in its full-throated and endearingly brash celebration of Latino culture and nostalgia.
