In 1960s San Francisco, a bright and ambitious young Latinx woman named Celina faces a difficult decision when she becomes pregnant after a reckless indiscretion. Despite the odds against her, Celina chooses to keep her baby and put her dreams on hold to raise her son. With the help of some unlikely allies and mentors, Celina embarks on a journey to overcome the obstacles of poverty and create a better future for herself and her child, breaking barriers and setting new precedents along the way.
