In the early 1960s, a devoted family man and psychologist, Dr. Raymond Walenski, is unexpectedly turned into a vampire. Struggling with his new beastly nature, he tries to maintain a sense of normalcy for his wife and teenage daughter, while also attempting to keep his true identity hidden from them. As he navigates this delicate balance, he finds himself torn between his love for his family and the primal urges of his vampire instincts.
