In a post-apocalyptic future, two scientists named Max and Albert are awakened from their hibernation experiment to find that they are the last men on Earth. A nuclear war has wiped out all males, and women have taken over, reproducing through parthenogenesis. The men are initially thrilled to be the center of attention among the women, but they soon realize that their fate is in jeopardy. They are given the choice to undergo sex reassignment surgery to become women or face trial and possible execution. The men attempt to escape, but they are caught and put on trial. The women blame males for all the evils of the past and claim that their new society is superior. Max and Albert are eventually sentenced to undergo forced sex reassignment surgery. However, they manage to escape once again and find a group of rebellious women who are against the oppressive regime. They join forces with these women and continue to fight for their survival in a world that seems determined to erase all traces of masculinity. As they navigate this strange new world, they encounter various groups of women, each with their own agendas and beliefs. They also discover that some women have formed "decadent" groups, rejecting the oppressive regime and embracing individual freedom. Through their journey, Max and Albert must confront their own identities as men and what it means to be human in a world that has forgotten the value of masculinity. Will they be able to survive long enough to see a glimmer of hope for the future, or will they succumb to the oppressive forces that seek to eliminate them?
