In 1971, French ethnologist François Bizot was captured by the Khmer Rouge while working on the restoration of Angkor Wat's temples. Accused of being a CIA spy, he was imprisoned in a jungle camp where he formed an unlikely bond with his young captor, Douch. Two decades later, they met again under very different circumstances. This powerful drama explores the complexities of human relationships and the impact of political turmoil on individual lives.
