Standoff

In "Standoff," a troubled veteran named Carter (Thomas Jane) has a chance at redemption when he protects a young girl named Bird (Ella Ballentine) from a ruthless hitman (Laurence Fishburne). Bird witnesses the hitman killing people at a cemetery and flees to Carter's remote farmhouse for refuge. The hitman follows her and a tense standoff ensues, with Carter determined to protect Bird at all costs. As the situation becomes more dire, Carter's past mistakes and personal demons come to light, adding an extra layer of complexity to the already intense battle between good and evil. With a single shotgun shell and limited resources, Carter must use his wits and determination to outsmart the hitman and save Bird's life.
