Shun Li and the Poet

Shun Li, a Chinese immigrant, works as a bartender in a small island town in the Venetian lagoon. She strikes up a friendship with Bepi, a fisherman and poet, who shares her love for poetry. Despite their cultural differences, they find solace in each other's company and share stories of their homelands. Their friendship, however, is met with resistance from both the Chinese immigrant community and the local Italian fishing community. As they navigate their newfound connection, Shun Li and Bepi must confront the challenges of cultural identity and belonging.
