She Rides Shotgun

Two hours have never flown by quite as fast as they do here.

The film takes a while to find its sea legs and peters out a bit in its big finish sequence, but sticks the landing in the final scene.

It’s easy to forgive the occasional pothole or wrong turn when you care this much about the man behind the wheel — and, of course, about the little girl sitting in the passenger seat beside him. 

...creates a sense of menace through the villainous White supremacist drug-dealing society Aryan Steel, whose members are secret and could be lurking anywhere.

It’s a bleak and introspective movie, interrupted by outbursts of bloody, senseless violence, made tragic by the interactions between Nathan and Polly.
