Rambo's retired life in Thailand is disrupted when his old friend Colonel Trautman is captured by Soviet forces during a covert mission in Afghanistan. Determined to rescue his comrade, Rambo embarks on a one-man mission behind enemy lines, facing off against Soviet soldiers and helicopters. With the help of a young boy and an arms dealer, Rambo infiltrates the enemy base, frees Trautman, and other prisoners, and escapes in a thrilling helicopter chase.
