In the midst of World War II, a compassionate Mongolian goat herder named Norjmaa rescues two wounded soldiers - one Japanese, one Russian - and nurses them back to health with traditional medicine. But as they recover, the two enemies become consumed by a desire to kill each other, forcing Norjmaa to confront her own traumatic past and find a way to make them see reason and compassion. With language barriers adding to the tension, can Norjmaa prevent a tragic outcome?
