Fires on the Plain

In the final days of World War II, a Japanese soldier named Tamura finds himself stranded on a Philippine island with no hope of rescue or survival. As he navigates through the jungle, he witnesses the descent of his comrades into madness and cannibalism. With no other choice, Tamura resorts to eating corpses to stay alive, but his mental and physical state deteriorate further. In a desperate attempt to escape, he surrenders to an American jeep, only to be shot by a vengeful Filipino woman. The film follows Tamura's harrowing journey as he struggles to survive in a world gone mad.
