In 1985, two broke veterinary students in Mexico City hatch a daring plan to steal valuable pre-Columbian artifacts from the National Museum of Anthropology. They successfully execute the heist during the Christmas holiday, but soon realize that their actions have sparked a national crisis. With their loot in hand, the duo embarks on a risky journey across Mexico, from the ruins of Palenque to the beaches of Acapulco, in a futile attempt to sell their ill-gotten gains. As they evade arrest and grapple with their own morality, they must confront the harsh reality of their choices. Will they be able to cash in on their stolen riches or will their foolhardy plan ultimately lead to their downfall?
