Moffie

"Moffie" tells the story of Nicholas van der Swart, a young man forced into military service in apartheid-era South Africa. As he grapples with the harsh realities of war and toxic masculinity, Nicholas must also keep his sexuality hidden from his fellow soldiers and the brutal military regime. Amidst the violence and abuse, he finds solace in an unlikely bond with a fellow recruit, Dylan. But as their relationship deepens, the danger of discovery looms large, threatening to tear them apart. Set against the backdrop of a system in collapse, "Moffie" is a powerful and poignant exploration of love, identity, and survival under the most difficult of circumstances.
