In a world where magic is fading, a young girl named Akko Kagari dreams of becoming a witch like her idol, Shiny Chariot. Despite her non-magical background, she enrolls in the prestigious Luna Nova Magical Academy, where she struggles to keep up with her peers. When Akko discovers the Shiny Rod, a powerful magic relic, she sets out to prove that magic is still a wonderful thing. Along the way, she must confront her own doubts and the schemes of a rival witch who seeks to use the Grand Triskellion, a magical locale, for her own selfish ambitions. With the help of Chariot, who is secretly one of her teachers, Akko must find the seven magical words to unlock the Grand Triskellion and restore magic to the world. Will she be able to live up to Shiny Chariot's ideals and save the day?
