Frequently asked questions
What is Higher about?
Jeremy Jones, a ten-time Big Mountain Rider of the Year, revolutionized snowboarding with his 2010 film DEEPER, a tribute to splitboarding and human adventure. His 2012 sequel, FURTHER, took him to the most remote mountain ranges on the planet and earned him a 2013 National Geographic Adventurer of the Year nomination. Now, Jones and his crew are elevating their game and taking their quest to the next level for the third and final installment of the DEEPER, FURTHER, HIGHER trilogy. Produced and co-directed by Jones' brothers Steve and Todd, who are also co-founders of Teton Gravity Research, HIGHER follows Jones' snowboarding journey from his childhood walks on Cape Cod's Jailhouse Hill to the accumulation of wisdom and experience equivalent to several generations on how to prosper and survive in the winter wilderness. Jones joins his old and new friends to pass the torch to the next generation of great mountain snowboarders. His film crew includes Bryan Iguchi, Luca Pandolfi, Lucas Merli, Ryland Bell, and others. With these friends, Jones leaves his marks on the exclusive lines in the nearby home playgrounds he made around Jackson Hole and Lake Tahoe. He also makes history with the first descents in the remote ranges of Alaska's East and Nepal's Himalayas, where the stakes are as high as the peaks themselves.
