Goodnight, Mister Tom

Goodnight Mister Tom is a heartwarming World War II drama that tells the story of a curmudgeonly widower, Tom Oakley (John Thaw), who takes in a shy evacuee from London, William Beech (Nick Robinson), and teaches him to read, write, and draw. Despite initial difficulties, Tom takes pity on William and does his best to create a suitable home for him, eventually forming a strong bond with the young boy.
