Detour

Detour is a classic film noir that follows the story of Al Roberts, a struggling piano player who hitchhikes his way from New York to Los Angeles to reunite with his girlfriend Sue. Al's journey takes a dark turn when he picks up a mysterious woman named Vera, who blackmails him into impersonating a wealthy man named Charles Haskell Jr., who has recently died. As Al becomes entangled in Vera's schemes, he finds himself in a dangerous game of cat and mouse, with no way out. Will Al be able to escape the dangerous situations he finds himself in, or will his detour lead him down a path of destruction?
