Denial

Denial is a Documentary movie released in 2016, which tells the story of David Hallquist, a utility executive in Vermont, who is on a mission to tackle one of the primary contributors to the global climate crisis - the electric grid. However, when his son Derek attempts to tell his father's story, a shocking family secret is revealed, forcing David and Derek to confront a much more personal battle that cannot be ignored any longer. The documentary takes a risk-taking personal narrative approach to explore the complex and deeply personal story of gender transition, going beyond traditional environmental documentaries.
