Amidst this backdrop, a group of teenage superstars emerged, determined to become the ultimate video game champions. They were featured in a Life magazine spread and soon found themselves competing in nationally televised competitions and touring with the National Video Game Team. But as the arcade scene faded away, so did their dreams. Now, middle-aged men, they reminisce about their glory days and the highs and lows of their time in the spotlight.
