In the midst of the 2008 housing market crash, young real estate agent Clara Morales must confront the consequences of her actions. She encouraged risky loans to her clients, including her own father, during the boom years. Now, with her father's home facing foreclosure, Clara must navigate the treacherous landscape of the collapsing housing market to save the place she calls home. But as she fights to rescue her family's property, she discovers that the American Dream she's been sold may be nothing more than an illusion. Will she be able to find a way to save her father's home, or will she become another casualty of the California winter?
