Burning Souls is a historical drama set in 17th century Bamberg, Germany, where witch hunts were rampant and innocent lives were at stake. The story follows Cornelius, a young physician who returns to his hometown to find his father dying and his childhood sweetheart, Johanna, struggling to run her family's apothecary. As they become embroiled in a web of denunciation, arrest, and execution, Cornelius and Johanna must summon courage and conviction to stand up against the corrupt Bishop Prince and save the innocent from his tyranny.
