What is Braindead about? 
In this horror-comedy, a young man named Lionel lives with his overbearing mother Vera, who doesn't approve of his relationship with Paquita, the daughter of a Spanish Romani shopkeeper. When Vera is bitten by a Sumatran rat-monkey at the local zoo, she becomes increasingly decrepit and eventually reanimates as a ravenous zombie. Lionel locks her in the basement and tries to keep her sedated, but she breaks out and starts attacking others, who also become zombies. As the zombie outbreak spreads, Lionel and Paquita must fight for survival and figure out how to stop Vera and the growing horde of undead. Will they be able to overcome their fears and work together to save themselves and their town?
