With the passing of his dear friend Etta Place, Blackthorn decides it's time to return home and reveal his true identity to his son, Ryan. But before he can leave, he's ambushed by a young Spanish engineer, Eduardo Apodaca, who's on the run after stealing $50,000 from a powerful Bolivian industrialist. Blackthorn and Eduardo form an uneasy alliance, traversing the dangerous desert landscape while pursued by a relentless posse.
