The film takes place during the weeks that best pals Bert and Åke are going to do prao. Åke does his at Bert's father's optician's shop, while Bert has landed at restaurant Tippen. Here, Klimpen and, more importantly, Molly also do prao. Both Bert and Åke are in love with Molly. Molly seems to like Bert. And Åke? He has no idea. Difficult questions, dilemmas and intricate lies pile up to finally explode and Bert risks losing both his best friend and his great love.

Spänningen är kanske inte olidlig. ”Bert sabbar allt” har trots den drastiska titeln en skyhög snällfaktor – även om det blir en och annan rak höger.

De unga skådespelarna lyser och är konstant roliga att titta på, medan vuxenskådespelarna gör sina roller mer schematiskt, bortsett från Josefin Neldén, Berts mamma.
