In "Antisemitism," director Ilan Ziv explores the troubling resurgence of anti-Jewish sentiment in France, tracing its roots from the Middle Ages to the present day. Through personal and collective narratives, the film exposes how the depiction of "the Jew" in society has fueled an ideology of hate that has led to devastating consequences, including the Holocaust and recent murders of Ilan Halimi and Mireille Knoll. As the film shows, 70 years after the Shoah, anti-Semitic acts are still a deadly reality, and the old hatreds are being instrumentalized to fuel new forms of hate in France and Europe.
