Played fearlessly by Jessie Buckley, this Bride is very much alive.

While the film lacks cohesion, the rollercoaster ride is exhilarating.

Without Buckley, this would have been lacking; with her, it’s a very bizarre and enjoyable spectacle of married bliss.

If Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein was too by-the-book for your tastes, you couldn’t get a more alternative take than this fabulously punk update.
