It’s difficult not to gain at least a smidgen of pleasure from seeing Plaza (...) as a foul-mouthed nun causing mayhem.

For those not tickled by the idea of 14th-century characters behaving like 21st-century ones, the laughs will ride solely on the cast.
Thankfully, it’s all pros. The Little Hours generously provides everyone moments...

...largely excels at showcasing its young female leads, though Franco is well-suited as the straight man tasked with playing off the boisterous women who try to take advantage of him.
