...enjoyable if you like emotional dramas with a dry humour and sci-fi.

Don’t read too much into the name. There is not a huge amount of murder in Murderbot, but there’s plenty of thinking about it.

It is both genuinely funny and surprisingly moving, a sharp-eyed social commentary, and a meditation on the role of both technology and connection in broader society.

Thanks to Chris and Paul Weitz’s working with original author Martha Wells to create a faithful adaptation, this is one of the most fun series to ever land on Apple TV+.

It’s goofy, sure, but it’s also kinda great.

Alexander Skarsgård is hella cool as a bored Robocop who hates all humans.

...has a hilarious premise, an admirable cast, and a lavish, Apple TV+ budget. It also has a real pacing problem; the first half of the 10-episode season is puzzlingly light on plot momentum and laughs.

It's a winning premise—the violently programmed robot who develops feelings and chooses to chill.

It might not grapple with the big philosophical questions of the present day, but it might give you a – brief – respite from thinking about the coming AI apocalypse.

Skarsgård är perfekt i rollen som krass, nihilistisk robot med rapp, vältajmad cynism och uppgiven livssyn.
