I det indonesiske action-hit The Raid måtte den unge elitebetjent Rama skyde sig igennem en dødsfælde af et 30-etagers højhus i jagten på en skruppelløs mafiaboss! Man behøver dog ikke at have set den første film for at blive slået bagover af Ramas dobbelte mission i 2’eren, hvor han må gå undercover i Jakartas voldelige underverden for at arbejde sig til tops indefra i et bundråddent system, som er den eneste vej til at få byens korrupte magtelite ned med nakken. Men samtidigt må han også redde sin kone og deres lille barn. Rama har alt at tabe – men har han noget som helst at vinde?
