Y2K - Kritiken

...it has a surprising amount of warmth and sweetness for what’s essentially a comedy about teens trying to get laid that pivots to a comedy about teens getting hacked to death by robots.

...works best for viewers like me whose lives ran somewhat parallel to the film's characters, but is universal enough to still earn laughs and wide-eyed shock from audiences who were teenagers long before or long after its 1999 setting.

A pre-millennial disaster comedy that doesn’t lack for throwback pleasures, Y2K is geared toward giving audiences the nostalgic feels.

Like a slow-loading image on a home computer in the late 1990s, “Y2K” seems kinda cool...

It’s not a bad movie, and it lives up to the standards that it sets itself...
