In the midst of a training exercise, a cutting-edge Japanese destroyer, the JDS Mirai, is mysteriously transported back in time to the midst of the Battle of Midway in 1942. With their advanced technology and weaponry, the crew must decide whether to intervene in the historic battle and potentially alter the course of World War II, or to remain neutral and risk changing the future. As they navigate the treacherous waters of the past, they must confront their own moral dilemmas and confront the harsh realities of war. Will they be able to find a way back to their own time, or will their actions have irreversible consequences?
