Absinthe-fuelled hallucinations, a gut-busting zipline, a dance-off and a “grapefruiting” demonstration: some of the comedy veers into the absurd, but each joke squarely hits its mark.

It's loud, at times unwatchably gross and sometimes lingers on the verge of hysteria. But it's also a warm-hearted and optimistic celebration of black womanhood. Maybe friendship can save us all.

This clique is ready to take on the world, and they aren’t afraid to fight dirty for each other. What can I say? Squad goals.

There’s plenty to like about this fun and frisky comedy, not least the brilliant female cast.
