Zatoichi

Zatoichi, a blind masseur and gambler, stumbles into a town controlled by a vicious yakuza gang. With his remarkable swordsmanship, he protects the townsfolk and befriends a farmer and her nephew. Zatoichi also helps two geisha siblings seeking revenge for their parents' murder, which leads to a showdown with the yakuza bosses. The film features Takeshi Kitano as Zatoichi, Tadanobu Asano as the ronin Hattori Gennosuke, and Michiyo Okusu as Aunt O-ume. It follows a traditional theme, with Zatoichi defending the innocent and facing off against criminals. The film's climax features Zatoichi defeating the yakuza's bodyguard in a duel and confronting the elderly yakuza boss, who he blinds after surprising him. The film ends with a dance number and Zatoichi walking down a trail, tripping over a rock, and delivering his signature line, "Even with my eyes wide open, I can't see anything."
