In the wake of her mother's tragic death, 17-year-old Jessie finds herself struggling to hold on to the last connection she has with her - barrel racing. Despite not having a horse of her own, Jessie is determined to follow her dreams, even when her uncle finds a seemingly useless cutting horse. But as she learns to ride and train the horse, Jessie discovers a new sense of purpose and hope in a world that's lost its shine. With the help of her cocky bull rider friend, Jessie sets out to prove that even the most broken of horses can find a second chance at life, and that sometimes, the things we deem useless can actually be our greatest assets.
