Eric Bogosian adapts his hit stage play for the screen with acclaimed director Richard Linklater in this drama inspired by their own experiences. When a famous rock star (Jayce Bartok) visits his small Texas hometown to flaunt his success, the young underachievers he left behind must not only suppress their envy but also explore the frustrations of their unrealized personal dreams. After a single night of whirlwind drinking, sex, and violence, their lives inevitably change.
