...what distinguishes Scream from the rest of the slew of teen-slashers that still haunt the lower reaches of Blockbuster's shelving is that it's bloody. Bloody funny, that is.

Frequently asked questions

What is Scream about? Toggle content

In the quiet town of Woodsboro, a masked killer begins a terrifying series of murders that sends shockwaves through the community. At the heart of it all is Sidney Prescott, a teenager still grappling with her mother's brutal murder from the previous year. As friends and classmates become targets, paranoia spreads, leaving everyone questioning their alliances. The killer seems to be playing a deadly game that draws inspiration from classic horror films, forcing victims to navigate both fear and suspense. With each twist and revelation, trust becomes scarce as Sidney finds herself trapped in a nightmarish scenario where no one is safe. As darkness descends upon Woodsboro, survival hinges on wits and courage against an unknown enemy lurking in plain sight.
