In "Front Cover," a young Chinese American man named Ryan Fu struggles with his identity as he tries to climb the social ladder. Despite his talent and hard work, Ryan feels the need to hide his Asian heritage in order to succeedt. When he's assigned to style a rising Chinese actor named Ning for a high-profile fashion shoot, their differing perspectives lead to a tense working relationship. As they spend more time together, Ryan and Ning discover a mutual attraction and begin to open up about their secrets, including Ryan's shame about his impoverished upbringing and Ning's closeted sexuality. But when Ning's secret is exposed, Ryan must decide whether to support him or stay true to himself. This romantic comedy-drama explores themes of identity, culture, and the power of being true to oneself.
