Noir fatalism is at its most potent in this tightly wound thriller about a man on a quest to solve his own murder. After he discovers he’s been poisoned, California accountant Frank Bigelow (Edmond O’Brien) has only a short time until his death to discover who’s responsible. With the support of his devoted secretary (Pamela Britton) and the clock ticking, Bigelow sets out on a journey from San Francisco to Los Angeles that takes him into the depths of a shadowy, labyrinthine underworld.

En annorlunda film noir med smart upplägg då vår hjälte är förgiftad och döende. Spännande att följa om hur han försöker ta reda på vem av alla han haft kontakt med som förgiftat honom!
