Carrie White,s a socially awkward teenager, bullied at school and dominated by her religiously fanatical mother, discovers she has telekinetic powers. When her classmates play a cruel prank on her at the prom, she unleashes her powers, wreaking havoc on everyone and everything in sight. As the carnage mounts , Carrie's mother, Margaret, reveals dark secrets about her past, including the fact that Carrie's father raped her, making Carrie's birth a constant reminder of sin. In a final confrontation , Carrie kills her mother before crushing her home with her powers and possibly surviving her own demise. A reimagining of the classic horror tale, Carrie stars Chloe Grace Moretz and Julianne Moore.
