A throwback to the B-movie thriller that packed the shelves of your local Blockbuster.

Sometimes you enjoy a movie, and you don’t feel good about it in the morning.

It will allow you to relax into catharsis and put a smile on your face.

It is the kind of filmmaking that makes actors happy to play in more minor roles, too, because in “Normal,” ALL the roles matter.

Like a firecracker with a long fuse, “Normal” builds up, burns fast, makes a big noise, and then it’s gone. 

Packed with near-constant, wall-to-wall violence and mayhem, this action comedy's success rests on its likably world-weary leading man, as well as its fun supporting cast and snappy pace.

...has a more thoughtful underpinning than your average 87Eleven joint.

What a time to be alive and a witness to Bob Odenkirk, the Badass Years.

It’s entertaining and bizarre chaos, anchored by Odenkirk’s hangdog air of gloomy resignation to the violent mess which he has to clean up.

...it’s about as fun and subversive as you’d hope for an Odenkirk/Wheatley collab.
